Our Chamber committees are supported by the strength and talent of its volunteers! Volunteering with the Fontana Chamber of Commerce is the first step in taking full advantage of your membership. Our committees give you the opportunity to directly contribute to the growth of our business community while you simultaneously grow professionally developing prosperous relationships with other business leaders. |
Marketing Committee
A primary goal of the Chamber is improve our communication and marketing to our members and the community we serve. This committee works in conjunction with the Community Services Department of the City of Fontana and the Fontana Herald Newspaper. We are working on extending the reach and exposure for our membership in the form of: event listings in the City of Fontana Activities Guides, review and redesign of marketing materials, new chamber page in the Fontana Herald News and continue improving our website.
FUN -tana Committee
This committee organizes events and socials for chamber members that provide events to attract, engage, and introduce the business & residential communities.
Legislative Action
The goal of this committee is to increase and promote legislative and city awareness through both education and communication. We represent the interests of business to government by speaking out on local, regional, state and national issues impaction our business community. The Chamber continues to host public forums for the candidates that are running for elected positions, such as, the Mayor, City Council, City Clerk, City Treasurer and the FUSD School Board.
Membership Committee
We recognize that your membership in the Chamber must mean a return on your investment. Our goal is to increase membership by 20% for each year which will be supported by two added sub-committees with a focus on our “Hispanic” community followed by additional focus on “Educational” workshops and resources. We responded to current economic trends with flexible installment payments for new membership and renewals. Our priority will continue to focus on increasing membership value as we continue to grow our community.
Event Committees
State of the City Address
The Chamber and City work together to promote this speech given by the Mayor of Fontana. Usually held twice, once in the morning and the evening, this event allows the citizens the opportunity to hear about the economy and the developments of the health of the city.
Police and Fire Recognition Ceremony
The event's highlights are an awards ceremony to honor our much deserving every day heroes, to not forget the sacrifices the police officers and firefighters make for us on a daily basis.
Business Awards and Installation Dinner
The event serves to honor and award some of our community’s outstanding businesses and leaders, in addition to introducing our new and returning Board members as they begin another year working for the success of our business community.
Las Posadas
Las Posadas is dedicated to enhance and promote the Hispanic Heritage in the City of Fontana. Las Posadas (Spanish for “the Inn”) is the traditional Latino festival which reenacts Joseph’s search for a room at the inn. In this heritage Christmas festivities begin with “Las Posadas”, nine consecutive days of the candlelight processions, lively parties and followed by the presentation of gifts.
