Fontana Adult School has been serving the Fontana community since the 1940’s.  We offer programs to help adults earn their high school diploma, high school equivalency certificate (GED), prepare for the citizenship test, learn English through our ESL classes, and obtain certificates in various programs, such as Certified Nursing Assisting, Phlebotomy, Office Occupations, Digital Photography, etc.

The Fontana Boxing Club began as part of the Fontana YMCA in 1971 on the southside of the city. The YMCA moved in 1974 and the Fontana Boxing Club continued as an independent entity where it stands today. Although Fontana Boxing Club has seen its share of struggles over the years Fontana Boxing Club has survived and with the help of a private donor in 2015 became a non-profit organization.

Frank Ramirez, Executive Director and Head Coach, has been in amateur boxing for over 45 years. He began boxing at Fontana Boxing Club at the age of 8 and fell in love with the sport of Boxing.  Franks focus is to keep kids off the streets and in the gym for a positive and healthy environment.  Frank has been a coach at the gym for over 25 years and has mentored many athletes over the years and believes that through the sport of Boxing he can show his students that with dedication and discipline anything is possible.  Through boxing one can build their self-esteem, confidence and inner strength to face daily challenges in their daily life.

Fontana Boxing Club has an average of 50 athletes that sign in each night, ranging in ages 8 through adult, all with the same goal, to make a change in their life.  Fontana Boxing Club has a positive atmosphere that keeps our kids coming back.

Fontana Boxing Club represents the City Of Fontana proudly with many amateur athletes competing in local and national boxing shows and tournaments and a few ranking in Professional Boxing.  It is through this hard work and dedication that many of our athletes have gone on to be in our Military, become College graduates, Firemen, Policemen, Teachers, Professional Boxing and business owners.  Several of which have brought their own children to be a part of our organization.
