Polishing machine type: Custom made belt polishing lathe
Shift Hours: M-F 6:30 AM – 2:30PM
Parts polished: injection and extrusion feed screws. Rough and finish polishing on flighted surfaces as well as solid shank & drive areas. O.D. polishing of shafts and miscellaneous steel parts. Materials polished will be 4140, Chromed & Un-chromed, Stainless Steel, CPM9-V, D2 Tool Steel & Inconel.
Experience: Candidates that are proficient in or have some experience with polishing different types of steel is desired. SFM will offer in house training on how to polish as long as the individual has mechanical aptitude or working with their hands background, or if the person has not polished this particular style part.
Responsibilities: Read blueprints in order to determine finish sizes, follow tight tolerances on parts of .005, proficient in the use of Micrometers, Calipers & Gauges, able to quickly troubleshoot issues during the polishing process & communicate with Engineering for guidance. This is an entry level position- must be flexible and open to cross-train and be cross trained on other pieces of equipment, both Conventional & CNC. Candidates with a strong work ethic & willingness to grow with Santa Fe Machine need apply.Wage: $15 per hour based on candidates work history & experience.
Benefits OfferedHealth insurance – SFM covers 80% of the Blue Shield HMO Trio. Employees can expect to pay $30 co-pay with a $1,700 deductible. 80% covers individual or family. Applicant can upgrade to a larger network Blue Shield offers (HMO, PPO) or Kaiser Permanente. The difference in the premiums would be the responsibility of the employee or new hire.
Dental and Vision – Not Available at this time.
401K – SFM matches 50% on the dollar for the first 3% of participating Employees’ wages invested. SFM will match 25% on the dollar on the next 2% of Employees’ wages.
Profit Sharing – SFM has a discretionary option to invest a portion of the company’s profits at the end of the year into the employees 401K profit sharing account.
Holidays Observed- Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day paid post introductory 90 day term
Sick Days/PTO- 3 days post introductory 90 day term

George's Sierra Shell is hiring a part time 24-32 hours a week position. Must be self motivated, a quick learner w/a valid Driver's License and good driving record.
